This post was originally written April 29th 2021 - approximately 4-5 days after we got the keys to the building here at Percy Place. Read on below to learn about the origins of the Scimitar name, and get a glimpse into the life of a very stressed post-lockdown Dean as he navigated the very beginnings of Scimitar.

Scimitar Sound has launched and the name and the logo are out there for scrutiny. The story behind the name for those who don’t know me is a really simple one. I have a vintage car, a Reliant Scimitar and she’s a beaut. She also needs a new gearbox but let’s not go there. I’m expecting all the typos and questions on how to pronounce it correctly, but it really doesn’t matter at all. If we are all talking about it then I’m happy with that.

I have had a small delay in the move-in date for the property and I wanted to be in there set up and ready to go before I launched the brand. But alas ill have to wait for just a little while longer. I am very fortunate to be getting work requests and it’s important I am still active with you all over the next 2-3 weeks. I will be very excited to share the studio location with you all when I can. It’s a fantastic spot. Eeeeeeeek!
